Well I must confess that I did awful with my last 2 week meal plan. We spent way too much money on food and most nights I didn’t know what to make. So I have taken an inventory of my pantry and I have created my meal plan based on what I have in my house. Most of the recipes are from my 1 Hour + 1 Mess = 5 Crock Pot Meals series. After I go shopping, Im going to create as many bags of dinner as I can. That way all I need to do is take the bag out of the freezer and dump it in the crock pot and dinner is done!
This method of meal planning takes the stress out of dinner time. It save me so much time and money. By planning for the next 2 weeks, I only have to go to the store for milk and produce.
My plan only has 13 meals because something always comes up – so I don’t want to buy too much at the store.
Breakfast
- yogurt with homemade granola
- cold cereal
- bagels
- pancakes
Lunch
- Turkey & Cheese sandwiches
- Salad
- Grilled Cheese (I bet you have never made it like this!)
- Leftovers
Dinners
Crock Pot Honey Garlic Chicken (highly rated by my Facebook fans)
Beef & Broccoli with brown rice (maybe yummy yummy sauce)
Picadillo (Inexpensive ground beef dinner with lots of flavor!)
New Recipes to try
- Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches
- Creamy Chicken Tacos
- Dr Pepper Pork Sandwiches
- Chicken Pot Pie with Flaky Crust
I will also be making some Pizza muffins, granola bars, and twice baked potatoes. My goal is to make the next 2 weeks very easy!
